Rest is not the opposite of fitness. It is part of it. Ramadan exposes a cultural lie many women carry: that rest is earned only after exhaustion. Islam teaches the opposite — rest is preventative care. Fasting already taxes the body. Sleep patterns change. Energy fluctuates. Without intentional rest, the nervous system remains on edge, making worship and movement harder. Rest during Ramadan may look like: - shorter workouts
- planned rest days
- earlier bedtimes
- midday pauses
- saying no to unnecessary demands
This is not laziness. It is strategy. Rest protects: - hormonal balance
- emotional regulation
- immune health
- consistency
Allah does not love when we harm ourselves in pursuit of good. He loves balance, intention, and sustainability. Rest well — so you can return well. 📖 Qur’anic Anchor “And He made the night for rest.” Surah Al-An‘ām (6:96) Rest is woven into creation.
