🌙 RAMADAN DAY 21 –Sincerity Is What Remains When No One Is Watching
As the last ten nights approach, the energy of Ramadan shifts. Worship becomes more focused. Intentions feel sharper. And quietly, a question surfaces in the heart:
Why am I really doing this?
Sincerity — ikhlāṣ — is one of the most delicate elements of faith. It cannot be performed. It cannot be displayed. It cannot be proven outwardly. It exists quietly, between the servant and Allah.
And that is exactly why it matters so much.
By the twenty-first day, there may be more invitations to do “extra.” More reminders. More visibility. More comparison. And while all of this can encourage good, it can also blur intention if the heart is not checked gently.
Sincerity asks a brave question:
Would I still do this if no one knew? This is not meant to shame — it is meant to clarify.
Allah does not need grand gestures. He does not need impressive output. He looks for alignment. For hearts that seek Him, not recognition. For worship that continues even when it feels unseen.
Some of the most sincere acts of Ramadan are invisible:
- A duʿāʾ whispered in the dark
- Restraint when anger feels justified
- Giving quietly without credit
- Returning to prayer after distraction
These acts leave no trace for others — but they are heavy in Allah’s scales.
Sincerity also protects the heart. It frees you from exhaustion caused by comparison and performance. When worship is for Allah alone, you are no longer burdened by how it looks or how it measures up.
Ramadan strips worship down to its essence. Hunger humbles. Fatigue quiets ego. Night prayers blur the line between effort and dependence.
This is fertile ground for sincerity — if the heart is willing.
You are not asked to be perfect. You are asked to be real.
Qur’anic Reflection
“And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, sincere to Him in religion.”
Surah Al-Bayyinah (98:5)Sincerity is not an addition to worship — it is its foundation.
Duʿāʾ for Today

and make my worship for You alone.Inspire Society Reflection:
What is done quietly for Allah lasts.
